A grateful disciple of Jesus Christ, I try to practice His teachings in all my affairs. I’ve got a long way to go, but He has brought me far from what I was.
Nowadays, I’m blessed to be a worship musician, writer, and speaker, Sharing God’s Story in my life. Like that of each one of us, it’s a unique tale of years spent stubbornly doing life my own way, only to realize – like a smack upside the head – that I wasn’t going anywhere. Since then, it’s been about learning, healing, and recovering from brokenness, addiction, and failing health, about miraculous provision for me and my family, about studying God’s Word to find His purpose for me, about sharing my time, talent, and testimony to give all the praise and glory to God, and “to give a little hope to you” (Third Day, Tunnel).
I love acronyms, and, yes, I do dishes and take out the trash, too.
“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”
Matthew 16:24 (NLT)
Thank you for following The Ruminant Scribe. I am honored to have you spend time with my blog, and I pray that you will find it encouraging and challenging as you walk with Jesus Christ our Lord.

This I can do. Follow Him. What better leader. What better father. What better caregiver. What better teacher. He has given me his Grace, and I want to complete my journey through life following Him that loves me, cares, and keeps me. Thank you Dear Father!!!
