Here we are, another Tuesday! Of course, I’m undergoing dialysis and posting something, anything.

Today, I’d like to recommend the book Mindset, by Carol S Dweck.

I heard about it from Dr Kevin Majeres’ excellent website Purity Is Possible, a presentation about gaining freedom from p*rn addiction.

Mindset is a behavioral psychology study about how our view of our “changeable/un-changeable” traits affect us.

night-television-tv-theme-machines.jpgWhile searching for something to watch on TV last night, I came across on Netflix “A. D. Kingdom and Empire,” which is the third part of the series which begins with “The Bible” and continues with “A.D. The Bible Continues.”

I’d seen only the first, which runs like a documentary with vignettes for some of the stories (so I was expecting the same sort of presentation.) But it is instead, one big episode, in this case starting at the trial of Christ. And it’s a season series instead of an n-day event.

‘Tapping’ into “It’s Not About the Nail;” Everything or Nothing

A few years ago, this video, “It’s Not About the Nail,” surfaced on YouTube. I find it amusing.

It depicts a supposed difference between men and women: that women like to (or need to) just talk about problems and issues (like going on about a nail stuck in your forehead), while men just want to “fix” it.

small crossBut this morning, I realized that it summarizes another, non-gender relationship; the one between God (the Creator) and humans (the Created).

(And I also recognize another symbolism in a nail being the physical object.)
